WOB Certification Application
How to become a certified Woman Owned Business in the state of North Dakota:
Process
- Fill out the below electronic form
- Fee is $25 for a new certification, $15 for a renewal. Certification is good for two years from date on certificate
- If your certification has lapsed, you will need to pay the $25 fee for a new certification
Requirements
- You must be at least 51% woman owned and operated in order to qualify for WOB certification
- Your business references should be able to attest that you are the majority owner of your business and that you participate in the day-to-day operation of the business.
- Your business must be in good standing with the North Dakota Secretary of State's office to receive certification. Find your secretary of state system ID number (takes you to another website).
- You will need to supply your Standard Industria Code. Find your Standard Industrial Code (takes you to another website)
- Different contracting agencies may require additional certifications. For example, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certification (DBE) is provided by the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
